Streamlabs OBS and OBS Project fail to go live with Aqtion AQN 107

The infamous, Streaming Error - “Could not access the specified channel or stream key. Please log out and back in to refresh your credentials. If the problem persists, there may be a problem connecting to the server.” At the time of writing there does not seem to be a fix for this error and the 10GbE Aquantia AQtion NIC. Solved!

Purpose

I felt like I should document my trouble with this specific NIC and Streamlabs, that way if someone else has a similar issue they might be able to save themselves sometime and trouble. This may also affect any 10GbE NIC that uses the AQN-107 chipset but I do not have enough data to prove this thought.

Things I Tried that Failed

  • Updated drivers from 2.1.17 to 2.1.20(latest at the time of writing)

  • Completely uninstalled and reinstalled drivers

  • Tried to use the Microsoft Driver

  • Fresh install of Windows

  • Install 2.1.20 again

  • Enable/Disable Jumbo Packet

  • Set Link Speed to 1G, 10G, and Auto

  • Lowered the “Transmit Buffer” to 1504

  • Raised the Transmit Buffer to 3016

  • and of course https://howto.streamlabs.com/streamlabs-obs-19/can-t-go-live-in-streamlabs-obs-here-s-the-fix-50

Resolution

Special thanks to Kord Martin on this.

Disabled “TCP/UDP Checksum Offload” for IPV4 in the Configuration settings for the Network Adapter.

After disabling the checksum offload it worked immediately no issues. BOOOOOOM!

Work-A-Rounds

These seem to be the best ways for me to get up and going again to stream to Twitch.

  • Just use my onboard 1GbE Motherboard Port

  • Used the Intel X520-T2 instead

  • Used the Intel X540-T2 instead

  • NDI Plugin on Client/Server to stream and encode on a Server, then to Twitch

Other Cards that Might Be Affected

This might include any Ethernet NIC that uses the AQN-107 chipset, on some motherboards or PCI-E devices, like these:

  • Asus XG-C100C

  • Gigabyte GC-AQC107

Just a video about some quick troubleshooting.
